We are delighted to officially launch the Pony Club Polocrosse Leagues! We decided in 2022 we needed to do more to reward our members for their dedication across the whole of the year, not just with prizes at individual tournaments, but something to track tehir progress across the whole year. So we came up with the idea of a league!
Members and their ponies will receive points based on how they get on in our tournaments throughout the year and also earn rally attendance points by taking part in training events, as regular is very important! There are different leagues based on age and experience and then also separate leagues for Best Pony, Best Horse, Branch/ Centre and Area – to recognise that this is by no means an individual sport and that ultimately it’s about having strong Branch, Centre and Area teams. Again the links to the individual leagues can be found on the Pony Club Polocrosse League page or there are menu links at the top of the website as well. there is even a handy PDF version of all the leagues in one document in case you want to download it or print it off!
Obviously 2022 is going to be a bit of a learning experience for us as we run the leagues and see what happens. We are going to try and update them regularly but we are reliant on Branch/ Centre and Area officials sending us the information about training events so we can include it. So if you think some points are missing from a member then let us know but it might be we haven’t received the information yet.
We hope you like what we have created and we look forwards to seeing how you all get on over the next six months. Then at the end of the year we will award some prizes and rosettes (of course) for the winners!
