The UK based luxury polo kit company is to be the headline sponsor for this year’s four Nations competition, which is taking place at Cheshire Polo Club on the 24th and 25th of July. The company will provide the playing kit for the four teams taking part, with all the 48 Pony Club members wearing Oswald Sporting shirts for the duration of the competition.

Oswald Sporting started in the “University Polo” world. Jess Roche, who was, at the time, President of Durham University Polo Club, decided there weren’t any companies who provided top quality, yet affordable, polo shirts – so she decided to make her own for the team. When Durham turned up at SUPA Winter Nationals 2017 in their brand new shirts they caught the eye of a lot of other universities, who then asked Jess whether she could make shirts for them as well – thus Oswald Sporting was formed. The company quickly grew to make shirts for teams, clubs and companies in the UK, Europe and USA. All their shirts are designed and manufactured in the UK, meaning they can deliver high quality clothing and short order times.

Jess Roche said “We are thrilled to be working with the Pony Club and also with a new sport in polocrosse. As a former member of the Pony Club I know first hand how wonderful an experience it gives to its members and so to be able to give something back by supporting this event is wonderful. We look forwards to watching all the teams in action and wish them the best of luck!”

Iain Heaton, Pony club polocrosse Chairman, said “We are delighted to be partnering with a young UK based company in designing and making our shirts for the 2021 Four Nations and we look forwards to our members showing off both their skills and the exciting shirt designs, that Jess and her team have created, in just a few weeks time. The COVID-19 pandemic has made everything more challenging this year but the support we have received from Oswald Sporting has been brilliant, minimising the financial cost to our members and also working with us on tight timelines to get everything designed and produced.”

The Oswald Sporting Four Nations competition consists of representative teams from England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland. Each team consists of 12 members, across three different age grades; Minis, Juniors and Seniors. The team compete within their own grades and also for the overall Triple Diamond trophy, which is awarded to the overall winning nation.

The competition is also benefitting from sponsorship from a number of other companies and individuals. We are very grateful to them all for their support of Pony Club Polocrosse and the Four Nations competition, as it means we can continue to grow and develop our sport and keep costs down for our members who are competing in the Four Nations.
